Khoa HuynhKhoa Huynh is from South Bend, Indiana. He received a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Notre Dame in May, 2011. As an undergraduate at Notre Dame, he took on various leadership positions, such as Biology Club President and Service Chair positions, and actively participated in several service projects, which included the Summer Service Learning Project in North Carolina and the Appalachia Seminar in eastern Kentucky.
Khoa has also received a Master's of Science in the new Engineering, Science and Technology Entrepreneurship (ESTEEM) program at Notre Dame. As part of this technology and innovation-oriented entrepreneurial program, he was armed with the skills needed to start a successful company. Additionally, outside of the classroom, he was part of a product design team whose focus was to test and validate a new launching system intended to be utilized by the Boy Scouts of America and other educational institutions for the purpose of teaching students about the science of flight and other aspects of aeronautics. Since June of 2006, Khoa has been employed at the Center for History--a local historical museum that is dedicated to collecting, preserving, interpreting, exhibiting, and teaching the heritage of the St. Joseph River Valley region--located in downtown South Bend. His experience at the Center for History has allowed him to develop a better understanding of the Michiana area and the people that live here.
